We recognize that full picture of MRI safety is made up of clinical, operational and facility components. Though we are the foremost experts in facility design issues, we at Junk Architects are not clinicians or technologists. This page focuses on issues of facility planning, design and construction to facilitate safe and efficient MRI suites. Beyond ourselves, there are a number of resources dedicated to aspects of MRI suite safety and we are proud to promote them.

We're promoting the new Sentinel Event Alert on MRI safety issues from the Joint Commission (formerly JCAHO) which augments the recently released ACR Guidance Document for Safe MR Practices: 2007 which superceded the 2004 update to the ACR White Paper on MR Safety.
